Daralynn Walker is a Children’s Book Author and Owner of Beautiful Works Publishing. Daralynn’s critically acclaimed Children’s series “Madison Miles and Friends”
Daralynn found her love for writing and reading at an early age. After reading a majority of the books in the Children’s section growing up, she realized there weren’t that many books with black main characters. She decided to change that with “Madison Miles and Friends”.
Daralynn attended Communication and Media Arts High School and went on to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Theatre Arts with a minor in Marketing. While on the college campus she was very active and volunteered her time with various youth organizations including the King-Chavez-Parks Program, The summer Incentive Program, and worked closely with organizations like The Black Student Union and Meals on Wheels.
When speaking with her one thing you notice is her passion for what she does! She is a great talent and truly believes and stands behind the importance of representation. As a mother of two young black women books that look like my daughters are far and in between. Madison Miles and friends’ books are vibrant in color and represent the modern young lady today!
